Course Content

The course will provide students with skills and knowledge in the following areas:

  • The requirements of the Australian Standards 3745, 4083, WH&S Act and Fire and Emergency Services Act.
  • Equips building occupants with the skills and knowledge to prevent and respond to an emergency in their workplace including raising the alarm.
  • Practical use of fire extinguishers.
  • Covers aspects of fire safety in the workplace, general evacuation and first response situations and an evacuation exercise.
  • Core emergency events covered include fire, medical, bomb threat or suspicious packages and hazardous substances.
  • If in healthcare setting, can include the evacuation of sedated/anaesthetised patients

Optional Add On: Live Fire Training

  • Live fire extinguisher training can be included in your training package for an additional fee to cover consumables.
